Data-Driven Website Optimization

Goal: Analyze website data to identify opportunities to improve user engagement, navigation, and conversions.

Strategy: Use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors interact with the site, identify friction points, and turn those insights into actionable website recommendations.

Turning Website Data Into Action

I analyzed website behavior using Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors were navigating the Mind & Child website and where opportunities existed to improve the customer journey.

I enhanced GA4 measurement, integrated Kajabi with GA4, and created custom GTM events to track key interactions, including scroll depth, menu clicks, and clicks on the homepage “Visit Store” button.

The data revealed a clear opportunity to focus on the mobile experience. 77.23% of users visited the site on mobile, while mobile actions and events were 9.75% below average.

I translated these findings into recommendations focused on improving mobile UX, strengthening calls to action, simplifying navigation, and making courses easier for visitors to discover and access.

Mobile Experience: Strengthening the Path to the Store

Mobile engagement data revealed an opportunity to make key actions easier to find.

Only 41.18% of users scrolled through at least 90% of the homepage, and just 12.7% of homepage users navigated to the store.

I recommended making the homepage’s “Visit Store” button more prominent above the fold, improving font readability, and changing the CTA from “Visit Store” to “View Our Courses” to make the next step more specific and actionable.

Results

Following the website update, mobile users navigating from the homepage to the store increased by approximately 644% across a comparable period, reinforcing the importance of a clear and accessible path to course offerings.
