Strategy: Gate valuable content to help build and convert a qualified email list
Lead Magnet
I worked with our education specialists to brainstorm topics and content for “The Rural Schools Checklist.” Then I organized, designed, and formatted the content into a six page checklist.
Landing Page
I worked with our developer to create a landing page for the checklist. The design was simple to drive the user to action. The landing page had a 13.07% CVR, well above our target rate of 3%.
Driving Relevant Traffic
I created a pop-up on the rural schools website and our rural schools blog posts to drive traffic to our website. I also created organic social posts on Facebook and Twitter, where most of our audience is.
We had a 10.58% average CVR from the pop-up on our blogs and website.
Email
I created and sent targeted emails about the conference to the new leads. The emails had an average open rate of 30.5% and 3.5% clicks.
Results
58 new qualified leads
10.64% increase in rural schools email list
16.88% of people who downloaded the checklist also registered for the conference
